In 2010, 20% of households in Sweden owned SodaStream machines as of 2010. In early 2012, SodaStream introduced SodaStream Source, a line of soda machines designed with a special emphasis on sustainability. SodaStream major competes with Cuisinart and SodaSparkle, and some other smaller companies.
Cuisinart:Cuisinart is the first Soda Stream alternative from a well known and respected brand name and wide retail distribution since the late 2012. Priced at $72, the machine is in stock now at Amazon, and other online outlets.

Soda Sparkle designed and created in Australia in 2012. The new SodaSparkle is a different style of device as compared to Cuisinart and SodaStream devices: it’s not a countertop appliance, but a smaller contraption comprised of a single-use CO2 cartridge that is screwed into a provided bottle, carbonating its contents. Soda Sparkle is currently sold in over 20 countries, including US, Canada, UK, Italy, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Australia and New Zealand.

Nice chart in terms of comparison. It's easy to see that the Sodastream would be more beneficial to consumers. The Sodastream is fairly priced, not too expensive and it has better quality than the other competitors, since it can make 60 liters of soda. I like the packaging and design of the Sodastream more too.
ReplyDeleteThe charts are very helpful in seeing the differences between the competitors and SodaStream. Although the price of the product was more expensive at one point, the slash in price has made it more of a bargain than any of the other products. It costs less to replace the CO2 cartridge and is altogether less pricey. I think another advantage is its wide distribution. All in all, the competition does not look too strong.
ReplyDeleteNice comparison of the soda stream and its competitors. The charts made it very easy to see that the soda stream is clearly the better option. I think the little extra cost would be worth it.
